The IOT project presented to the « TAAF » labelled classes:

A class of 4th graders with the "TAAF classes" label from the Jules Reydellet school in Saint-Denis de La Réunion was able to attend a presentation of the pIOT and IOT projects on 3 May 2021 by Anne-Laure.

The "TAAF classes" label was created in 2020 by the French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF) and the Academic Delegation for Artistic Education and Cultural Action of Reunion (DAAC-Reunion) on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the community. This scheme consists of promoting a network of classes that work, voluntarily and in depth, on the territories, missions, resources and partners of the TAAF during the school year.

Ifremer, as a privileged partner of the TAAF for many years, participates in the educational project of these classes by presenting the work of the Institute and its researchers in the TAAF territory.

On 22 and 23 June, the two labelled classes of the class of 2021 held their feedback days.

The Indian Ocean delegation of Ifremer was present at the Jules Reydellet secondary school in Saint Denis alongside the Prefect, Senior Administrator of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, the Academic Delegate for Artistic Education and Cultural Action (DAAC) representing the Rector of Reunion Island and the teaching staff to discover the work of the pupils carried out during the 2020/2021 academic year. Numerous themes related to the TAAFs were addressed in all the subjects taught (history, geography, science and technology, French, physics and chemistry, mathematics, plastic arts, music, etc.).
